The Divine Room

Privacy notice

This notice explains, in plain language, what The Divine Room does with the details you give us when you book a reading, ritual or digital workbook — and the choices you have about marketing. It sits outside our terms and conditions on purpose, so it is easy to find.

Booking and purchase details

When you book a service or buy a digital workbook we keep your name, email address, the service or product purchased, your booking date and time, any questions or intention you share, how you heard about us, and your payment reference. We use this information to take payment, prepare and deliver your reading, ritual or download, manage appointments and answer any questions about your purchase.

We keep these records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Marketing emails

Where the law allows, we may email existing customers about Divine Room readings, rituals, new products, offers and guidance similar to what they have already booked. At checkout you can tick a box to say you do not want these emails, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in every marketing email or by emailing info@thedivineroom.co.uk.

Once you opt out we add your email address to a do-not-contact list so you are not added back by mistake, even if you order again later.

Social media advertising and custom audiences

We only use your contact details to show you Divine Room advertising on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook if you have actively ticked the box asking for it. This is separate from marketing emails: choosing to receive emails does not put you into a social media audience, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Who else handles your information

We use trusted providers to run the website and deliver your purchase: Stripe (card payments), Google Calendar and Google Meet (live tarot appointments), our website and database hosting provider, and our email delivery provider. If you have opted in, Meta (Instagram and Facebook) may also receive contact details for advertising audiences. We never sell your information.

Service emails always continue

Opting out of marketing never affects the emails you need: order and booking confirmations, calendar and Google Meet details, your reading or workbook delivery, cancellation or reschedule information, and any message about the purchase itself.

Your rights

You have the right to object to direct marketing at any time, and we will act on that straight away. You can also ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@thedivineroom.co.uk and Chelsie will help.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
